Selenopeltis
Family: Odontopleuridae
Era: Ordovician
Locality: Erfoud?, Morocco
Size: Freakin huge, about 8-9"

Specimen 1

Looking for a monster to place on your desktop? Ya, you need one of these.
Large, solid, well armed; these guys are some of my favorite coming out of
Ordovician ranges in Morocco. These are the things that nightmares are made of.
And they probably taste like lobster.

Specimen 2

Here's another bugger. Big isn't he? About 8". I love the shine you get on the
armor of this baby. Stepping on one of these would be much worse than stepping
on a horseshoe crab.

Specimen 3

This one's smaller than the first two. Maybe a juvenile? The spines on this one
are beautifully preserved and the first two are elevated above the others. A
beaut!
