As I've said to my friend, this guy is pure goth. I've had people comment; "That
looks like the things in Alien!" Ya, just check out what he's got for defenses;
sharp spines in all directions, long genal spines with secondary spines, several
head spines, and this four-pronged scoop in front. Fine eyes with compound
lenses are low and protected by spines above them.
So what is the scoop for? I have no idea. It's not sharp enough to be used to
attacking. Doesn't look like it's useful for scooping up dirt or tunneling
either. Maybe boring into decaying matter? I can picture a quadrops using the
scoop to bore into a dead fish (ya, i know, they were armor plated back them) or
something similar.
Quadrops-2
This one is partially curled with the spines still in matrix. Would be very good
for a preparationist with a sand blaster. Once again you see the 4-pronged
scoop.
