Ah, the Phacops, what can I say about these guys, they're in Morocco, and in the
US they appear commonly as Phacops rana. They're pretty basic in design, I'd say
these guys should be the basic trilobite when someone thinks trilobite. The
compound eyes on these guys are always amazingly preserved. The nose is kinda
cute too. Ya, they do look like frogs don't they?
Of note on this specimen is that there's a leonaspis crawling around as well.
How did he get there? Did he just happen to die while he was crawling on
sediment over an already buried Phacops? The world may never know...
