Kingaspis
Family: Ellipsocephalidae
Era: Hmm... I'll get back to you on that, sometime in the Ordovician maybe?
Locality: Somewhere in Morocco
Size: About 1" long and .75" tall

Kingaspis-1

This is a funky little guy, I'll need to get some additional preparation work
done at some point. He's a little fella, with two single stubby spines, one at
the back of the head, one of the front of the tail, so they look like masts on a
ship. What are they used for??? Sort of a choking device incase some predator
decides to sample them?
Well for my personal opinion, I think they are some kind of bioluminescent
lighting structure. Easier to find each other during mating season if the other
guy is putting on a light show!
