Asteropyge
Family: Acastidae
Era: Early- Middle Devonian
Locality: Jbel Issoumour, Morocco
Size: Average adult size seems to be about 2".

Specimen Asteropyge 1
I believe these little guys are labeled as Asteropyge, but I'm not entirely
sure. At least that's what the Moroccans call these. Of note are the eyes of
these guys; they're abnormally tall when compared to the rest of the cephalon.
These probably provided them with broad views of the sea floor. The defenses are
fair on these guys; large genal (sides of head) spines and fine axial spines.

Specimen Asteropyge 2

Very neat eyes on these guys.

Asteropyge 3

Quite the personality on this guy. Look at him! He's just got that bad-ass
look to him.
