Asaphid
I freely admit that I'm not 100% positive of the various identifications on
this page. I sort of just group all large flat oval trilobites as asaphids until
I get a better identification. Without further hesitation:
Asaphid
Family: Asaphidae
Era: Early- Middle Ordivician
Locality: Jbel Issoumour, Morocco
Size: Ranges from 5" to 12"+

Asaphid-1
Here is a basic individual. I believe that 95% of it is real but there appears
to be a well-done repair job to the upper right cephalon, which may be missing.
He does appear to have eye ridges, but I'd guess he's actually a blind
trilobite. Then again, based on the size, he was probably quite an adept
carnivore/scanvenger.
