Trilobites

What is it about trilobites that makes them so interesting? Is it the diversity? Is it the way you can follow their progressive evolution? Or maybe it is because they make the perfect pets; you don't have to feed them, they're usually portable, and they won't run away on you.

This here is my collection of Moroccan trilobites, along with my speculation about the evolution, life, and other aspects of each species. Below are my rough line sketches of the properties of each species, click on each photo to get to the actual specimens.
