Blattodea- Cockroaches
Yup, Roaches! They've been around millions of years and they're gonna be
around even when we're gone. They're much prettier when they're dead and
fossilized.
Specimen Blt-01
Size: 1.7 cm body length, 2.2 cm wingspan

Close-ups:

This is a very highly detailed specimen, all the way down to fine leg hair
detail and possible internal carbon preservation. Unfortunately the wings lack
venation detail.
Specimen Blt-02
Size: 1.3 cm body length, 2.2 cm antennae length

The long antennae is one of the interesting features of this specimen. It should
be a useful identification feature.
Specimens Blt-03 + Blt-04
Size: 1 cm body, 1.5 cm wingspan

This is another specimen with wings spread. On the matrix of this piece is a
second roach specimen:
Size: 1.3 cm body length

This appears to just be the casing shed by another cockroach.

Specimen Blt-05
Size: .8 cm body length, 1.2 cm length per wing, 2 cm antennae

Another specimen of the long antennae species. As there is today, there were a
lot of roaches back during the Eocene.
Specimen Blt-06
Size: 1.5 cm body, 1.8 cm antennae

Ya, I know, these guys are starting to look familiar by now. This is another
long-antennae specimen with good color patterns on the body.
Specimen Blt-07
Size: 1 cm

Another fairly well preserved roach on matrix with a mix of minor other insects
on the plate. Nothing too extraordinary, just another good specimen.
